Personally, I'd go for somewhere less obvious (and probably less painful!). For my ink, I chose somewhere I could cover when I'm old (and everything turns South) while not sacrificing what was important to me about it.
Tats are personal, though and you should get what you want where you want it.
I think that is a pretty awesome idea! I think it would make a nice back of the shoulder tattoo and that way it can be covered easier than your forearm if need be.
I think this would make an awesome tattoo if you want one, but as has been previously mentioned, it makes a difference what else is going on and where you put it. I don't know what other tattoos you may be rocking.
So I am afraid the only way that any of us will be able to make an informed answer is for you to post nude pictures of yourself so that we can determine the best placement.
What?
Fine, no Nicole nudes then. If you've already decided it will work where you want to put it, then go for it. Heck, if you find a tattoo artist who is really talented, I think the central image of Jane rising from the water would look great on someone's back.
Actually, better yet, it looks like each cover is going to have a different heart thing going on, so do one each time a book comes out. You're might end up looking like a playing card by the time Jane has as many books out as Sookie, but we'll just call you "10 of Hearts" at that point. It'll be like you are in the Royal Flush Gang or something.
Thanks, everybody. . . i'm getting a DOOO EEEEET vibe, which I enjoy. And if I DID do it it would be forearm. When I do rock out, it's with my you know what out. LOL
WE at the League of Reluctant Adults are pissed. Miffed. Put out. Thoroughly riled. We don't often get political, nor do we often get angry. But an angry Leaguer is an UGLY thing. Just look at Mark over there, all snarly with rage. Why are we angry, you ask? BECAUSE WE DIDN'T GET BOYCOTTED. There's this group calling itself "The Write Agenda," who claims to be a bunch of authors looking out for other authors. In reality, we're pretty sure they're a bunch of con artists who got mad at people calling them con artists. Why? Because they attack two of the best friends an author or an aspiring author can ever have: Writer Beware and Absolute Write Water Cooler . Here's John Scalzi's breakdown of what this Write Agenda is, and why they're doing what they're doing. For those not in the know, Writer Beware and Absolute Write Water Cooler are free services that collect information on agents, editors, and publishers. They report on thin...
Heeeyyy, everyone! For those who have no clue who I am, I'll keep this short. My name's Dakota Cassidy, and I write fluffy (like lightly whipped fluffy), humorous paranormals for Berkley Sensation. Mark Henry invited me to join the League after I threatened heinous acts of violence against his person, involving my stilettos and an old can of Aqua Net. After much resistance, and the utter ruination of a sassy pair of red pumps, here I am :) In celebration of my forced entry... er, induction to the League--I got booty for ya :) Here's what I'm in for, and this is what ya gotta do--post in the comments section. Just say hello--that's it :) That enters you in the contest for... A signed copy of the second book in my Accidental series, Accidentally Dead , but that's not it. I'll buy TWO books--winner's choice--written by any of the authors here on the League. That means you could win books by Caitlin Kittredge, Jaye Wells, that meanie-butt Mark Henry, Miche...
Yes. Here I am, throwing it down. And who am I throwing it at? JAYE WELLS. See, last night I was hanging around on Twitter. (What? I wasn't avoiding work! No, no, not me! I was, um, keeping tabs on everyone else. Because that's my job.) Anyway. I was on Twitter. As was a certain Miss Jaye Wells. And Miss Jaye was bemoaning her own lack of balls--figuratively--when it comes to doing awesome things with her hair. To whit: Jaye feels that, had she any GUTS, she would do black-and-red streaks in her hair like the fantastic heroine of her fantastic book RED-HEADED STEPCHILD (and its sure-to-be-fantastic sequels, as Jaye is a kick-ass writer). And you know what? I personally feel the same. If Jaye had any guts, she would do it. And so the gauntlet is thrown. IF Miss Jaye does the hairy deed, and goes black with red streaks, *I* will put red streaks in my own bleached-white hair. And I'm talking red, folks; dark, primary-color red. AND I will post pictures here on the League blog....

How Big: Bigger than a baby's arm? No, seriously, about the size it is here.
Me? I'm a total weeny. I started begging for drugs from the OB the minute the test stick turned blue.

I say YES! It's very cool. I'd get it if I were you.

And good try, Thom. Goooood try. ;-)
