It May Come as Some Surprise...

...but there are times where I can be quite productive. Take this past weekend. Pal-o-mine/Douche Extraordinaire, Mario Acevedo, showed up at my house and demanded we write a screenplay together. While there's nothing unusual about this occurrence--and, in fact, you might be saying to yourself, 'Damn it, Mario told me I'm the only one he's writing a script with'--it is quite unusual to knock out a first draft in 4 days.

*shines up knuckles*

AND...I'm kinda proud of the estimated 115 page (read minute) finished product...

Here we are busting out either filthy sex, or hyper-violence, hard to tell...

And, YES, that is a copy of Lynn Chancer's Sadomasochism in Everyday Life, thank you very much. My bookcase overfloweth with handy dandy sexuality-related texts.

So, yeah, the rumors are true. There's gonna be an Acevedo/Henry script floating around out there. We don't know what's going to happen with it anymore than you do, but I'll be sure to let you know if something exciting happens. I mean, other than Mario bashing the shit out of it in the revisions...

Which is probably happening right about now.

I can't even believe how fun that sounds. Possibly more fun in the blog post than in real life, but then again, maybe not.

A screenplay, hmmm that should be interesting (you might want to buy him an inflatable hammer-just in case).
I am please to say that most of those books are already on my shopping list-several I have been waiting patiently for!
Exciting weekend then!?

The Strangely Beautiful Tale of Miss Percy Parker was an amazing read! :) Loved it! And Leanna is sooo nice! :)

Love the shopping list!
This weekend, I read Walking Dead by C.E. Murphy (fantastic), Shiver by Maggie Steifvater (AMAZING) and Dreamfever by Karen Marie Moning (awesome).
And I ran out to the bookstore twice to buy Jeanne Stein's books (won the first in a contest on her site & must read the rest), Blood Promise, Unbound, Rosemary & Rue, and Trick of Light for this week's "get me to the end of summer before I kill the kid" reading marathon. (14 yr olds suck).
I can't find your books anywhere around me (so.east MA) Mark Henry. WTF?!

I only love how he just turned up and demanded to write a screenplay with you.
LOL.
That's love.
I've been busy reading Richelle Mead's Blood Promise. It was pretty epic.

What I did on my weekend by JD:

* Like a good little contest winner, I started to review 'Rosemary and Rue' (You'll get it by the end of the week, I swear!)

* I watched my friends get happily sloshed at a cocktail party. sometimes being the designated driver is really rather fun. My pals + alcohol + fancy frocks = ensuing hilarity for the sober one.

* I enjoyed the sunshine, in short sleeves no less. Where did Winter go? Was it ever here? Did I blink and miss it? Apparently so...

So THAT'S what Mario did this weekend? It's not the story he told around here...his version included a wild weekend of uninhibited sex with twin strippers.

I should have known...

Well, let's see. First I went looking for a gun to shoot myself in the head, but then I remembered I'm not a gun nut and don't keep one so as to keep my homicidal tendencies in check. Then I looked for a power drill to insert fresh hold in attached head, but realized I don't own one because I'm too lazy to work one. And I've got cats and believe in all that organic crap so I don't have any rat poison. That left me with no choice but to drag my reluctant lazy behind to the Kitsap peninsula and pour wine for the masses at charity wine tasting in Bummertown with no financial remuneration for yours truly. At least it's a job you can drink on...
Writing with friends - awesomeness! I can imagine the paper fights that would ensue at my abode... I went sailing this past weekend, and got a little sunburned - but it was peaceful and quiet and hot and wet. LOL

This weekend I actually did a fair amount of nothing, which is the first time in months that I've been able to do that. So, that was pretty exciting. :)

Wouldn't overwhelmed by Were's be more of a Fur Pile?

Watch the list, Mario's used hypno ink within, you will buy, you will buy...

Cleaned house, cooked and watched several episodes of Forever Knight.

Be interesting to see how this script turns out.

Mario really should save the hammer to use on the zombies though. Unless his laptop has suddenly taken a turn and started trying to suck his brains out. Or was he just confused when Mark suggested they get hammered?

Daelith asked: Or was he (Mario) just confused when Mark suggested they get hammered?

Mario is confused most of the time.
