Moderately Gory Content...Beware!

I know I've mentioned my teen obsession with Clive Barker's Books of Blood, if not here then on my personal blog. Well. I'm pissing around the internet today--as I'm wont to do--and look what pops up on my friends-list...

Holy crap, it looks awesome, too. It appears to be the central story that held the anthology together, though it's my understanding that they are filming several of the stories as part of this film. A miniseries for the theater, if you will--and believe me I am.

This reminds me...I need to track down Midnight Meat Train...

Hmm.

It's free on On Demand, so I'm going to hit a friend's house this weekend and catch up on some horror movies. Damn you Directv!

I love Clive Barker but over the years have come to prefer the more fantasy based books to the real horror, definately got more squeamish. "Every body is a book of Blood" is still my phone's greeting message though. Makes me smile.

Well... as long as it doesn't involve a puzzle box I think we are good!

Creepy. Creepy. Creepy. *hides in corner* I'm ok. It's ok. I'm ok. It's ok. I'm ok. It's ok. *turns on all the lights* Creepy.

And I only watched half of it... but I read a short story by him once. It still haunts me.

In high school, I adored his Books of Blood. Loaned it out one time and never saw it again. It was a sad day. Nowadays, I avoid scary shit like the plague. I am a huge chicken! I like happy stories.
