If Everyone Jumped Off a Cliff . . .

. . . I'd be right there with them. So when I saw that EVERYONE seemed to be vlogging (note my confident use of the jargon), I was like, "I gotta vlog, dude! Everybody's doing it! Lemme just finish smoking this gateway drug and experimenting with deviant sexuality, and I'm all in!"

Okay, I was doing NEITHER of those things, I had just returned from a night of fierce trivia over at PieWorks, but whatever.

Anyway, I vlogged. It's tres rough. Keep in mind I didn't know I had a camera in my iMac until like three weeks ago. I wasn't a member of YouTube till last night. So it's REALLY rough, but I consider it a learning experience.

I think I'll do more. I had a lot of fun, and I will babble less in future. I'll probably put them up on my own site, from now on, but for this one I thought I'd let the League have at me. Tell me what you really think. Tell me what to talk about! That's most important. Give me some idears.

So here I am. In all my bouncy, bouncy glory:

And now Jaye has inspired me to make this little beauty:

OMG, Nicole. Hilarious. Yay Rachel Caine quote! Sorry about the trivia fail. I think I'd get woozy from the bouncy ball. LOL. Loved the "movie," too.

I was going to comment on your vlog... and then I saw your 'movie'... which is hilarious! =D

Very cool quote for your book, Nicole. Congratulations! Nice VLOG.

Also, is your iMac new? Your camera seems to be working about ten times better than the one on my two-year-old MacBook Pro.

(Stripper bruises?)

Dakota: Thanks! Blue is definitely in my color wheel. ;-) And you have to make one for Nina. She's perfect!

Michele: Thanks! I had no idea it was going to turn out so funny, it was all just a fluke of me not knowing what I was doing. When he just kept on dancing, I nearly peed in my pants. I thought he'd just like shimmy and be done. The ball is amazing. Once you go ball you never . . . go back. Sorry, ran out of rhyme, there.

Jo: Thanks! I definitely need to make my vlogs shorter, in future. That one was SO rambling. But it was fun and a good learning exercise. Anything you'd like to see my talk about in future?

Bill: I got my iMac last summer, so it's about a year old. And the camera is GREAT. It's actually even clearer pre-youtube. And thanks, re: quote! I'm super chuffed!

Keep on vloggin' sister! And keep making those movies! O..M..G! I almost McPeed my pants at the dancin' scene. Had quite the groove on, who could resist that smoooth talkin' and groooove dancin' hunka hunka?

Nicole - great vlog and movie!!! When the little guy was dancing I totally lost it. I think you need to reinact that for you next vlog. Plus, keep the ball as well, it can be your signature, if you don't mind being associated with balls. ;) Congrats again on the quote.

Thanks Vickie!!! I think it worked okay! I need to focus, and bounce less (?), and I promise to learn one new trick per vlog. But I think I'm going to totally rock it out! And seriously, I had NO IDEA that was going to happen (the dancing). Total fluke. So I was just as entertained as everyone else. Have probably watched it 100 times. And Ryu is SLIGHTLY smoother in actual book. Although not nearly as flexible. ;-)

Heather C: Thanks!!! I know, it turned out HILARIOUS. And I totally can't take credit, I had NO IDEA it would do that. I think the ball is funny, too, especially when I roll in on the camera. It's bizarre, and I like the bizarre. ;-) And thanks! I'm super chuffed about the quote.

Watch it peeps, nicole is trying to hypotise you with that ball thing, hence why she kept moving round and round. LOL

Great to hear you got a cracking quote to get you started, it must be a real stoker to have an author you admire giving you the thumbs up.

Incidently you mentioned no swords in the book, what about the characters Rapier wit. Doesnt that count as something that she could fence with? LOL

Does this mean I don't have to buy the book when it comes out? =o)

Gareth: I KNOW! I didn't realize I was so bouncy/weavy till I watched myself. And I kept getting closer and closer to the screen. And it felt SO GOOD to read that quote. YAY! And I TOTALLY LIED about the sword, thing. Will have to do a corrections blog. *LOL* I TOTALLY have a sword fight. But it's not Jane fighting! So I'm a LIAR as well as being bouncy.

CofA: Um, book is SLIGHTLY different than video, but not much. So yeah, just watch video. NO, I'm kidding! BUY MY BOOK!
U are so funny! Ill try tp get my hands on your book...

I'm confused. Are we all jumping off a cliff or what? If so, I need the location/grid coordinates. I'll be the one in parachute pants.

Don't worry about it, there'll be someone handing out Lemmin' squash. LOL

Thanks Taschima! :-) It's coming out in November.

Tom: Parachute pants!!!! Parachute pants!!!!

Gareth: You singlehandedly made me miss Britain by using the word "squash."

It's so not fair that you, or anyone for that matter, should have eyes that amazing shade of blue when I'm stuck with plain ol' brown. The universe hates me.

Aside from that, your vlog was super entertaining and I'd cyber-stalk you to see more, but your wit was definitely trumped by the dancing not-vampire. Just when I thought it couldn't get funnier, it just kept on going! Don't admit it was a fluke. You should totally take the credit for it.

Heather: I am a little nervous to venture another try, I think that first attempt at movie directing turned out so well by beginner's luck. BUT I'm also feeling fairly inspired. . . . I may have to get the upgraded package. ;-)

Barbara: Thank you! The dancing WAS amazing. I had no idea he'd just keep going. I nearly died, myself. ;-) And glad you liked the vlog!

JD: You should see my brother's eyes. They're bluer, PLUS he got the eyelashes. But I'm glad you enjoyed the vlog, and the not-vampire dancing WAS incredible. And I totally am 100% responsible for all of it. Really. ;-)

Um, this is the last post in like 5 days. So, did everyone actually go jump off a cliff? Nobody told me what cliff and when.

I'm so out of the loop.

Was it me? Did the vlog kill them all?
