Hey, Reluctant New Yorkers

Anyone in or around the NYC area -- Anton, Caitlin and I will be at New York Comic Con this weekend, starting this afternoon!

Friday 2/6
5:45 PM
Panel: New York City Through its Authors (Jackie and Anton)
New York City may be the world's most-written-about city. While sometimes romantic, sometimes mythic, and sometimes wicked, it's always New York. New York Comic Con invites several of the city's local authors to speak about how living in New York has influenced their words -- whether they're writing about NYC or not. Moderated by Suvudu.com.
1A21 (Literary track)

Saturday 2/7
1:30 PM
Panel: Sci-Fi, Supernatural, and Fantasy Authors Round Table (Jackie)
Veteran authors and the genres' emerging voices gather to speak about their common influences, current projects, and the trends that are shaping the future. Moderated by Suvudu.com
1A21 (Literary track)

3:30 PM
BLACK AND WHITE ARC signing
(Jackie and Caitlin)
First come, first served!!! This will be in the Spectra booth, in the Random House section.

6:30 PM
Panel: Vampire, Werewolf, and Zombie Round Table (Caitlin)
Vampires, werewolves, and zombies have haunted the human imagination since pre-history. Even now in the 21st Century, these creatures of the night continue to cause shivers to race down
our spine. Explore what makes us love to be afraid in this chilling, thrilling panel!
1A21 (Pop Culture track)

Sunday 2/8
I’ll be stalking Joss Whedon at the Dollhouse premiere:
12:45 PM
Joss Whedon and Tahmoh Penikett guide fans through a sneak peek at the first act of the highly-anticipated premiere episode of Dollhouse scheduled to launch on Friday, February 13th on FOX. Dollhouse stars Eliza Dushku, Tahmoh Penikett, Fran Kranz, Dichen Lachman, Enver
Gjokaj, Harry Lennix, and Olivia Williams. Mini posters will be distributed to all in
attendance!
IGN Theater (TV track)

Hope to see some fellow Reluctant Adults there!

I know people who are already lining up at 6:45 am on Sunday to get a ticket for either the Joss autographing or Dollhouse premiere.

I may be in bed then...nay, I WILL be in bed!!

You may also find me at the Penguin booth #1804. I'll be doing a interview with BookSpot Central on Saturday, so that should be sufficiently embarrassing.

Um. Really? 6:45 am?

Um. Huh.

**debates which is more important: my continued health, or getting to meet Joss Whedon**

Saying Hello and wishing everyone a great year. Wish I was near your area.

Sounds like great fun. Wish I could be there.

You all need to come up north of the border and visit us here (but not till spring. Winter is a cruel mistress)
Hey, Jackie? Think you can stuff Tahmoh into your suitcase and smuggle him back for me? Pretty please?

I'll see what I can do, Kelly...

Wish I could be there but just to far to drive in a few hours. But I wish you all the best and hope you have a great time.

Wow - Dichen Lachman has gone from Aussie soap Neighbours to Dollhouse! That's quite a jump.

Just goes to show that there's always an Australian where you least expect them ;-)

Have a lovely day! :-)
